Painting or any FW painters out there

Well, I've finished painting 2 bedrooms & boy was it a nightmare. Particularly the ceiling corners (old paint started flaking - so much sanding etc.).
So I'm leaning towards getting a professional to do the job - hence, why we're asking whether there are any FW painters out there.
Firstly though, has anyone paid someone to do the job (is there an industry standard/average hourly rate painters charge?)

wouldnt know of an hourly rate, but they quote for the whole job. if it takes them longer so be it but if they get it done quicker its their bonus. we had ours done a couple of years ago as as you mentioned its a pain in the a@@. couldnt reccomend anyone as the painter we used has moved down south

yeah most wont charge you as
yeah most wont charge you as an hourly rate as such, will be based upon the job, that gives them a little more leeway.
also can depend whether you supply the paint or they do, as the tradies get good prices so they make a few extra $$$ as well.
again if the areas are empty ie no furniture etc, it will cost you less as well as they dont have to move things , cover things etc, just a drop sheet to protect the flooring is all that is needed.
been there done that, much preferred painting new houses personally less hassle.
any more info just send me a pm
