Pajero 1996 V6 3000

Just trying to get an idea what it might be worth?

Has had the gasket BLOWN. Also might need an exhaust. Brakes not to cool. Brand new tyres x 2 and almost brand new for the rest. Car inside spik.

Been our fish mobile for ages and she has let go.

Has huge sentimental value but now have a Landie 200 S and cant ever complain (apart from the $$$$$).

Passion feels fix it, sense says take it to the wreckers.

Hope you can help because I fix other things not cars (even though I used to Rally like mad)

I am/was in a similar situation Neels - our old GQ patrol (beaching fishing car) copped a head gasket problem (car still runs), although, we considered whether to fix it or get rid of it.

We decided to get rid of it... we've got enough cars & don't want to continue paying insurance/rego/mechanical costs for something that gets driven on a occassional basis.

I still feel as though I should repair it because I know it serves it's purpose well... but prefer to save the coin.

We're advertising it in the local paper, because I know we'll get more than a wreckers donation & I'm sure there are some mechanically minded people out there that can do a cheap fix & have a solid car for a few more years.

Well my WRX now is the bosses car, I drive the new Landie.

I am sure the Karratha hill would have some Mech Minded takers that can see the value in the old girl.

Still sad to let a goody go.

WRX pfft, get a Lancer Evo

WRX pfft, get a Lancer Evo Neels, much more fun!

The 6G versions of Mitsu motors are notorious for head gaskets going, my 6G74 in my magna went at the start of the year as well, cost to fix it get's exy due to the orientation of the motor being east west but a DIY'er will do it cheap, what's the harm in putting it up there for $5k and seeing who bites
