PB Coral Trout Abrolhos

Hi All,
Just got back from four Fantastic Days at the Abrolhos on the Reel Affair.
Scored my PB Coral Trout.
Hope you agree it's a Cracker.

Came in over 75cm, didn't weigh him, PE3, McCarthy Soft Plastic 7" Translucent Pearl, Put some hurt on the Monster Mesh

what abrohlos group of islands
were you at? i wish i had of paid more attention to the charts when i was out there on a charter, pretty keen to take my boat out there for a few days, thinking the middle group for the first trip.....i ohnestly have no idea at even the areas we were in when i was out there...wasnt even aware there were 3 groups of islands back at the time hahaha

Not like you to not pay attention.
Previous trips we have started at the southern group and head north.
This year we were based at the wallabies, anchored at the jetty at night.
I think you might need a personal guide who has the area fresh in his mind, lol

Fished platics and jigs most of the trip, only went to bait first thing in the morning up to 9.00am.

Congrats on the Trout, they loved the translucent pearl McCarthy when we were there last, definitely the stand out colour for us.

Great fish, congrats on the PB. I'll hopefully get into a few when I get back to Pohnpei, now that the weather is cooling down.
