Peaceful bay mission

Hi guys . I plan on doing mission to peaceful bay some time soon , any tips on beach launching there as my trailer isn’t drive on ?

also what meter swell does the passage close up at or get tricky to cross ?

And what depths  are good for producing the goods ? I’ve found some nice contours in the 40s and 60s I’d like to check out witch is only around the 7 mile mark

thanks guys

 We launched a 4m tinny

We launched a 4m tinny alongside a 6m glass boat. Beach ramp and you really need to watch the swell as one minute everything is dry and then you are half way up your car wheels in the water.

yes it can close out but again, it's southern ocean so watch the forecast and the swell.

we just randomly drifted about in 25-30m on a line between the two headlands and found some fish without ever being there before. The place seems very alive.

just watch the swell.

Sorry for the late reply.

They had to back a long way into the water to retrieve but did ok, just too much salt for my liking.

Thr beach has a very shallow slope.

Not specifically peaceful bay

Can’t talk specifically about peaceful bay but have fished off Walpole a lot and the ground should be the same. I’ve found heaps of ground around the 40 meters mark. Also not far from peaceful bay is ram head which I have fished plenty of times over the years. Sound around the contours and you will find fish. Have got lots of of big breakesea cod dues nanagi and the odd blue grouper Over the years. You just have to watch the swell but at this time of year you will usually get a number of good days.
I’ll be in Walpole again in a couple of weeks and can’t wait after missing my trip last year because of covid.
Good luck

Sounds epic I can’t wait . Yeah rams head looks very fishing ... so with the swell is any thing 2 m and under fine

I’m from the south west and fish places like Augusta and grace town regular on 2.4 m swells an it’s fine just wondering if it’s similar down there ?

 Swell direction and period

Swell direction and period are important on the S coast!!...

Peaceful faces SE so the swell has to wrap to get in there...

If its a Sth swell it will get into PB a shitload more than a SW swell...

Sth swell with a long period and you wanna be a bit careful but IMO PB is pretty launchable even in a big swell if you know what you are doing...

If its a decent day you wont be alone launching so dont be too keen, watch a couple of others and hopefully they are not Perthys and know what they are doing, you might learn a thing or two from them...

Pinks should be starting to move about the place in closer now!
