I've got two of the first 9500ss reels, excellent as heavy MONO(15kg) reels for floating out baits etc when there's a bit of rough country and your continually getting buried on 10kg. Best feature for mind is the ball bearing line roller which wasn't available off the shelf for the smaller sized spinfishers.
Can't tell you to much about the SSm models though.
hey dood
i got the 750ss and had for at least 6 yrs.only ever changed the guts once but damn good reel...strong as cause ive dropped it a few times , but yet it still drags em in.....and neil's got the 650...the good thing is we both got the early models before they changed the guts from brass to ali.....that might be something worth lookin at
the 8500ssm's havent even properlly landed yet and the 9500s arent supposed to be out to sometime in the first half of next year from memory...in Oz anyway! Tough reels but the drags do come pre-greased which makes the drag a bit week, needs to be dried out to get enough to run 80lb i think tho. But they feel nice and smooth and are definatly gonna be worth the wait.
I guess at this stage nobody can really say much about the 950SSM. Its not even out yet!!....If its anything like the 9500ss, it'll be awesome but in saying that....the 850ssm already has problems with its first batch. Hence why there's no SSM of any size around at all. I'll be checking out the new Banax GT reels first hand (like every other new toys that we get =) ), and will let you know how they compare.
So far on paper the new Banax looks good without the huge price tag.
My 8500 & 9500SSM will arrive in my shop approx Monday!
8500SSM will be $189 and 9500SSM $199
The new Banax reels are better in my opinion with the SX series having similar internals to the old USA Penn SS reels and they still have the brass main & pinion which made the original old model Spinfishers good IMO
The Banax range (a few different models & sizes)is between $150-199, pop in next week if ya want, my Banax shipment is due next week also!
PM me if ya want more info, we'll look after you on price too!

Updated for the better!
The new SSM are more advance than the older SS models and after a few teathing problems they're finally ready for a launch!
The 5 s/s b/bearings and a s/s infinate a/reverse makes them far more adaptable for braid & jigging!
At $199 for the 9500SSM you cant go wrong but the new Banax models give em a run for their money also!
