Perth Lakes

Anyone no any spots for lake fishing around Perth , have read through all ye old post and I am realy keen on catching some carp I have fished in lake over east and caught some realy nice carp I anyone noes if there are any lakes in Perth or even WA any info wud be appreciated as I haven't herd of one definet spots on a lake you can catch , I have fishes golden ponds and over the last few years the fish are scares that's if there's any even left in ther

pretty sure there are no carp
pretty sure there are no carp in wa, if you found some there would be a long line to get rid of them

I remember as kid back in the 70's
I remember as kid back in the 70's, we had some monster carp that used to swim down Woodlupine brook (which turns into Yule brook) in Beckenham.....these brooks then flow into the Canning River, not far from Roe Highway bridge between Kenwick Link and Spencer Rd.
Surprised to hear they are still around !

I've heard from a few
I've heard from a few different sources they are carp in the canning past the kent st weir. Big ones too. Never tried myself.

Koi carp in the pond at my parents place, but I dont think they would like someone fishing in the backyard...plus u gotta get past the shepard and rotti...lol

No lure mate they arnt
No lure mate they arnt predatory fish .Bread boiles and garden worms ,haven't managed to find a decent spot to catch them !!

carp dont live in salt water so you must have seen something else

most of thre lakes have carp
most of thre lakes have carp ballajura, lake in stirling, mongers lake, and ive heard that thevlakes in kingsley also have redfin

Carp
New to the forum but thought I would post this mornings Perth catch
Koi / Carp cought on small hook, light line and bread. ( Pome fishing )
Also looking for like minded people around Perth area to go fishing with regardless of target fish.
So far can only catch Carp and lots of Swan river Bream ! Is there anything else landbased worth a try ??
