PINK TO RED IN A DIVE
Submitted by Pete D on Mon, 2008-12-15 09:54
A mate and I down on a hookah on Saturday produced the boat limit in one dive. With whites over 90mm carapace down to the reds just above 80mm, it was a great dive on shallow low scattered structure north of GI. So still good crays in the shallow stuff!
We then headed to a spot to try for a ‘Yeti snapper’ as my mate calls them – as he has never caught a local pinkie. Within 30 seconds, these two were on. We caught and released another 6 before the school shut down. Was a great 30 minute session for the middle of the day. Most fish were 800mm plus.
Cheers Pete

Sunday
Yeah I heard a whisper about Sunday. I'll hit Nic up about a quick dive. Let me know what time you think we would be leaving/getting back.
Dive Kent St last night. Got 3/4kg of prawns, 155mm crab and one of those nice scallops you gave me last time. A fair whack of current though.
