Darryl I rebuilt a Chivers Seamaster sports 21ft
I removed the whole floor and reglassed the hull from the inside with the help from the Chivers crew. Check to see if you have a foam filled floor. I did and I had to cut out the floor very close to the sides where it was not foam filled. This was done with 6" angle grinder with a dimond tip blade.
Good luck

FLOOR REMOVAL
It looks as if there is another boxed off section up each side under the floor ... This might be the foam filled floatation ?....

I have just cut a floor out
The trusty 4" grinder with a wafer thin cut off disc. You dont need to replace the whole floor to do those jobs but it makes it so much easier. And you can glass either side of your bulk head instead of one. Have used both. Epoxy resin is more flexible after it has cured and is also easier to shape but more expensive. Standard poly resin is more than adequate IMO, even if it is a bit messier and more smelly. Make sure you dont lay up in direct sunlight or it will go off rather quick resulting in a brittle glass.

PAIN in Floor
Might just remove it all, Did not want to cut into the unknown but dont have much choice as no one can tell me whats under there... I was told that polly can go over epoxy but not to put epoxy over the top of pollys or it will bubble up? Would like to make some of the panel's out of foam but was told not to cover the foam with a polly or it will eat into the foam. So may have to cover the foam with epoxy then poly the panel into boat once dry, I think?? Any suggestions on this or the right process to use. Cheers, Darryl
