Can't believe no comments on this post. Great insight into a place hardly anyone will ever visit let alone take the time to figure out how to fish it.
I remember years ago talking to a group of guys that were towing boats down there and cleaning up offshore fishing. Also farmers if I remember correctly. Genset and chest freezers overflowing.
The fishing was good.. filled the fidges. There were a couple of lean days, but even on these you still caught something, just not as much and as of good quality.. We will be back there in Feb for another go.. Its a 2 times a year place now..
Here is Part 2 of our Point Culver trip. It carries on from where Part one ended, more fishing, camping, exploring and the trip home.
One part that sticks with me is the amount of fishing nets and ropes that are tangled up around the rocks. This is one small area of the cliffs, imagine how much is tangled all the way around the bite..
Anyway, it was a great trip so I hope it either inspires you, or temporarily fills a travel hole you may have.

Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Just keep driving..........
YEP thats a epic trip ,, no short cuts there boys ........... have done some research on similar trip but its just finding the time
and knowadays the $$$$$ with fuel prices starting to make people rethink long trips ..
We did the kalgoolie dirt drags last week and towing a small trailer it was a exxy little trip with few days acomm and meals thrown in.
In researching a culver trip , I was a little surprised the fishing isnt a little better but think the remotness , and fun going away too where many
will never tread , would make up for it.....

Great edit, certainly
Great edit, certainly inspires an adventure off the beaten track. A real shame about the nets/rubbish collection
