The specs look cool, anyone have a review? I dropped some coin on it this morning when first available but I'm sure there were some :"Testers" that are way before my time?

Gopro are just like iPhone,
Gopro are just like iPhone, no real advancement or need to upgrade. They just pump out a new one for everyone that MUST have the latest one.
battery life gets worse with the more features, I have a 7 now but wish I could go back to my 5 as it lasted a lot longer.
I won't be bothering to upgrade until the 7 dies.

I have a 7 too but find it
I have a 7 too but find it freezes really easy and not very happy with it for that reason, otherwise it's awesome and a big step up from the 3

Feezing Gopro
I had the same problem with the 7 and freezing. Turns out it was the SD card. There are only a handful of cards to use with the gopro on the highest resolution settings. The wrong card can also cause battery and overheating problems. Even with two identical cards purchased at the same time one card still has issues.

Not really true, the new
Not really true, the new GoPro has doubled the frame rate at 4K, you could say it's twice as good. Now whether that is important to you is a completely different question.
The key here is do you need 5k @ 60FPS or 4K @120FPS? If so do you have to computer to handle it?
And if you don't know what any of that means then you definitely don't need a 10.
The footage will be incredible in the right hands as has been the case in the past.

7 sux
I'm a bit of a camera nerd, done a fair bit of pro work all over Aus and a few other countries for 35yrs. Digital capture and Gopro have been a game changer with size and image quality, sure beats the hell out of shooting/editing on 8mm tape in analogue...LOL, the good ol days, although I can't remember using a Gopro on a pro shoot cause I have other cams.
My 7 freezes up all the time, pain in the arse. My 8 freezes up as well and only the record button works, another pain in the arse. When #10 arrives 7,8 and a handfull of others are going in for replacement on the deal we agreed on with my subscription, lets hope they hold their end of the deal or I'm jumping ship and starting to buy elsewhere.
Battery life is a bit yeah/nah, you can plug a USB power cable into the 10 and run it till it catches on fire, not much use if doing underwater work though, it defeats the purpose of having a compact camera.
Hopefully one day we can put in a order for a camera manufacture to build custom cameras, "I want my camera to do this, this and that and leave all the other bullshit out of it".... Ok, now I'm dreaming....
