Point Peron Ramp

Hi guys new to the site so hopefully this post works. Thinking of heading out of Point Peron tommorow and head over to rotto for a spot of fishing just check to see if the ramps down there have been dug out and there's enough water to launch without having to back your car into the water
cheers

It's not looking good. The top section of all the Ramps have been cleared of the sand, however it's then deep sand at the end of the Ramp at the waterline( hope that makes sense).
So it's shallow and boggy. Looks like the ramps are silting up like they did a couple of years ago. When that happen last time, they(whoever that is) had to bring the dredge in.

Bogged !
Yep I can confirm I got bogged in a 4wd courier , got out easier in the arvo with a higher tide and the boat on the trailer ! Ha , got stuck in the early hours of the morning having to back further in to the sand to push the boat off , I fish by myself and think the surge had washed the sand away around the trailer while I was pushing the boat up the jetty . Went back to the car thinking it should drag out ok maybe bit of a scrabble but it just sunk !! Luckily few other guys had just rolled up and was kind enough to back his boat down and snatch off his trailer , only needed half a bump to get out the hole and was all good . Unfortunately can’t remember the guys name sorry .

Not a problem fishfish glad I could help you out hopefully you managed to get a fish that day. I ended up going down to the ramp near Palm beach jetty the one without parking bays and there was plenty of water there to launch the boat

Snatched !
Ah sweet cheers Keen Fisher !! Was hoping someone would own up to helping me . Yep ended up with an eating size dhu at 600 and and good nanny (510) out deep then back into the 40’s for 5 big KG’s (510 -580 ) . Was an early bite with fish hitting hard and fast then slowing down bit after lunch , did a bit of driving around to mark a few more spots then home flat out with a couple of drinks to finish of a killer day .
