Pond fishing Pattaya Thailand

These are from the Fishing pond on Soi 14 Jomtien, Thailand

All the gear was supplied. Was using a no name 8" GP rod and no name reel. appeared to

be loaded with about 15 pound mono.

 

The terminal rig was a large wire berley cage loaded with a bread and oil mix, about 10 cm to a small hook and piece of bread.

Is that a Patin or Giant Mekong Cat ?

All forktail catfish go hard.

I recall going to Bungsarum at Bangkok and caught some Giant Mekong. Went out to fishing from 7am and caught about 8 of them from 15-30kg on popping gear and by mid-day i was f@cked!
