Was going to launch from pt
Was going to launch from pt Greg the other day but got word it was sanded up. I know there is a tractor up that way now so should be no dramas!
just spoke to a mate that went Wednesday from pt Greg and he said he launched his 6.5m cat no worries from the point! He said tides were quite high and low so time it right and you should be fine

haven't been up to port
haven't been up to port Gregory in a while but it used to be easy enough to beach launch there to the right of the jetty anywhere
we had a 5.5 metre plate alli
main passage in & out of the reef is easy once you get it sussed from the lesser ones
fishing was good out wide , lots of whales too
dhuies, baldys and other good bottom fish
rent a house as there are a few up there and well worth it
if the weather turns to rubbish , day trip to kalbarri pub for lunch and beers

Fishing is very good up
Fishing is very good up there, weather and locals are rubbish!!
not sure if the same couple running the caravan park as about 5 years ago but back then the old dude was annoying as hell, be careful if you ask him to put your boat in with their tractor, he can't drive to save himself!!

Pretty sure the tractor doesnt belong to them, but they can tell you who the contact is.

Yep
couple running the park are very nice. You won't have any dramas with a boat that size. Normal beach retrieve in and out fast no mucking around.

We were getting baldchin
We were getting baldchin inside the reef and shit loads of small cobia, we anchored inside the first north entrance and burley close to the inside reef, was to rough for my boat outside. We had plenty of snap offs with larger fish taking floating gars but our gear was no match haha. They would take the bait and run str8 out the entrance before we could stop them!

Big sambo country inside that north entrance
Lots of big fellas around there. I wouldn't be floating a gar on less than 50lb gear there Also some monster skippy, fish half a mulie or a bunch of bluebait on the sand. They are also just along the wall outside of the reef, but usually too much backwash to make it a small boat proposition.
