Shore based Exmouth fishing spots?
Submitted by steve434 on Mon, 2016-07-25 14:32
Hello,
First time in Exmouth, brought the boat up and boom! Blew a bloody bearing on the way up. So...the boat will be in the shop for a few days and its blowing an easterly for the next few days. I tried for a feed of whiting on Jansz Beach today but nothing.
Any other sugestions on the western side for shore based fishing?

Prob best to call in and see the boys in bluewater
tackle - they helped me out heaps when I was up there in March(boat fishing) but they will send you in the right direction for land based (try the oyster stacks for pelagics) if the easterly stops

Whiting
If the gulf is clear, drive the beaches south on a rising tide and look for the silver shimmer of feeding whiting schools. Or look for the nomads 4bies, thats the other give away.
5 mile or hunters are best for spangos. Lighthouse for bluebone. Murat for queenies n gts on very top of tide.
