Marc, your work is sensational.
Have you considered selling your work to Stock photo sites?
There are quite a few stock sites, and the better option if you are interested, is to offer your photos to several simultaneously rather than choose just 1 or 2 to start.
I see you have quite a portfolio so you would be off to a good start.
You can decide what you want to sell outright, with or without rights, and what you want to sell as just stock.
There is good money to be made this way and you will soon earn a reputation and find that buyers will seek your work in a certain catergory and keep coming back for more.
I can't remember all the sites off hand but some are: iStock, Shutterstock, Dreamstime, BigStock, Fotolia, 123RoyaltyFree, all with dot.com
Do a google for stock photo sites and you'll find a heap more.
With your improving talent (yes, I have been viewing your work for a while now) the sky is the limit. Go for it mate!
You just may be your own boss sooner than you expect.

I bough the 17-55. It has L
I bough the 17-55. It has L series glass in it and shots are great . f/2.8 .
Loved the 70-300 but the 100-400 L seirs will be better once i get some cash to buy it

Whats the costings for these pics ...to be framed on canvas or larger framed prints made...be good if you were allowed to list prices on here ...at a reasonable cost I think you would make some sales...with word of mouth ...I think in a short time you could generate some decent income...have you any more pics of local landmarks and places the more the better...whats better than doing something you have a passion for and getting income for it...nothing...I meet alot of gunnas but very few doers you have what it takes.... best of luck in your endeavours ....

Hi chris, i have had a couple printed off for freinds. Good size. Cost me around $180 then i will put $50 on it. Im not n it to make big $$ just a few bucks here and there to help fund new equipment.
So around $250 you will get a unique local canvas shot up on the wall. Makes for great talking points.

Some of pics in this thread a great but they sort of take away
from the essence of photography a bit IMO.With the programs of today the pics can be manipulated instead of it being done on the spot with skill and the camera if you get what i mean.True photography to me is the capture of a moment in time not capturing a moment in time with bracketed exposure followed by an hour of overlaying and adjusting with a program to make an image that looks nothing like the actual moment it was taken.If you get what i mean.I do it as well but not many of them are in my top 20 pic file
So tell me have you got your info from years on the water or hours on the internet?

I think thats whats so great about photography, people take photos and process them to make them look "pretty" so that other people can enjoy them (buy them and hang on walls) where as other people take "happy snaps" that capture the moment there and then.
You wouldnt find all the big name landscape photographers selling any works that havent been put through photoshop or lightroom, or even had skies replaced with much better ones taken on different days

I had to laugh just recent when i looked at the 'swan river photography comp" one of the rules were " no enhanced shots" No photoshop etc.
Looked at the entrys so far and noticed the quality diference compared to say the indian ocean drive comp that i just enterd where the whole top ten had used lightroom, photoshop etc and thewinning shot was done by a lady who was around 50yrs old and been into photography since she was 16

i have so many normal photography shots but the edeited ones allways have the WOW factre to 90% of the people. These are the ones they sell well.
Bracketed shots in my opinion is as close to what the human eye will see hence why they can look nothing like a normal photogrraph. I try keep hdrs as tame as possible

I agree mate,
I dont think anyone will sell a photograph unedited (with the exception to maybe family). You will always have to put your photo thru some sort of post processing even if it is just a quick levels, curves or a simple horizon straighten. Even the top of the range L series lens create barrel distortion which needs to be taken care of.
I stay away from HDR, had a little play with it then got over it real quick hehe. But people either love or hate the HDR look and thats the best thing about photography, what 1 person thinks is rubbish, someone else will think its fantastic!

By my top 20 pics i should revise
i dont mean just my own.I am speaking of all time.The touched up pics dont have the same feel if you get my drift.I like some HDR pics when they arent overcooked and look to fake.No offence Marc but i am not a fan of fuzzy water either.
So tell me have you got your info from years on the water or hours on the internet?

Went fishing last night down
Went fishing last night down the port and was suprised to see this massive ship. Left around 7.45 so lighting wasnt good but did ok with the 17-55 f2.8 handheld :)
