Quinny project (pic heavy)
So a couple of years back (maybe 3 or more lol) I picked up this Bayhunter from Gordon (Sunshine) before he retired as a write off hull. From what I can remember she had rolled on a reef and as you can see in the following pics copped a fair hiding on the Starboard side. I'd always wanted a challenge like this so thought why not.
So the first job was to strip her out as I was going to convert her to a centre console.
Once cleaned out next job was to get some new gunnel rails rolled up and try to align everything. The hull had a slight twist so I had to get it all straight and secure it to the ground while I locked everything in. She came out as straight as a dye so very happy with that. Sadly the skin on the starboard side was stretched a little so have had to dolly it up as best I can but it's tidy and only going to be a dedicated fisher anyway.
Next was to infill the gunells, do the internal rail and fab up the handrails etc and weld on.
So now ready for blast
Back at work and prime coats
Internal painting done and last weekend top coats
Now the good fun starts with the fitout, I've been collecting lots of goodies over the last year or so to fit her out with. I Picked up a ready made console from a guy up in Yanchep. She will have a brand new 60HP 4 stroke Suzi fitted in the next couple of weeks. I also ripped out the original fuel tank and made a bigger one that will carry around 80L, will find out precisely when I fill her up.
More pics to come.

Is that the one you picked up as salvage
Hell you have done a great job of restoring her as the photos don't do justice to the damage that was present
