Just looking at some specials on whiskey and thinking everything is being downsized. A pint in a pub these days is rarely a pint, liquor used to be around 900 ml for us older fo.ks then 750 now i see 700. Even opened a can of Milo to find it was only half full. What other examples have people noticed?

Yarp a pint is just a large
Yarp a pint is just a large glass now, no where near a pint. That's what happens whn coles and Woolies own all the pubs.

Pint
A pint is a measurement of volume, so if you order a pint (in WA) and get less than 568ml (imperial pint) then they have usually given you a schooner and you should give it back. These bullshit boutique bars try to charge $11 for a Schooner but its only 425ml. A pint is a pint. Take your business elsewhere if they are trying to tell you otherwise.
I refuse to drink at places that serve schooners at pint prices. Go to The Vic in Subi for $3.50 pints, absolutely winning at that joint.

the good old baked beans
the good old baked beans where once 440gms can , now smaller
this is what happens when people lose their minds wanting seven day aweek trading from 9am -9pm the big retailers own the market and just dictate to suppliers , they own the supply chain and everyone under them suffers , they set it up in such away they are one step removed, but they crush the suppliers , sell to you and me , cream the profits ,
coles had pink lady apples today at $6.50kg ,,,does anyone think they pay more than $2.50-$3.00 per kg to the grower ??
milk is $2 per 2 litres, the farmer gets around 50cents per litre if there lucky , coles /woollies blame the processers ...but they dictate and control the contract price to the processer
like banks , oil companies etc , food has gone the same way ...few players and they set the rules , gov has no chance to stop it
that's my rant ….lol , just shites me is all
