went a couple of weeks ago. Only place we could fish was Garths or camp rock due to mod-strong SE winds and seabreeze was in most day by 10am. Swell was also an issue so did not fish the 2 mile.

Would get down there early but fish did not come on until sun was in casting distance.

Caught a few Sharkies and Mackies. Sharkies up to 8 kg and mackies around 6-7kg. A few Cobia also starting to show up. Got 1 around 8kg. Not many Tuna schools around and those that were there were small. Did hook an estimated 10kg Tuna but again sharks won out. Most caught on White lead head jigs and a few on 85g Spaniards. Cobia liked Rapala Xraps and bombers

Even if we free spooled the sharks were just too quick.

Sharks were a pain at Garths loosing 2 out of 3 fish to them. Looked like bronze Whalers (not 100%) but around 3-4 mtrs in length.

As the saying goes if the sharks are around so are the fish.

Waiting for photos from mate so I can put a report on site.
