Quobba Early October

 Hey all!

Finally able to get a week off work for some serious fishing. Looking at knicking off straight after the school holidays. Just wondering how Quobba fishes around this time of the year.  Will the SW/SE's be a typical condition this time of year?

Just wondering if anyone has had much luck around October chasing Pelagics or whether it's a waste of time packing the bus with a shed load of Raiders. Same story with the ballooning gear. Really want to see the misso hooked up to a thumping spanny!

Had a bit of a gander through the forum and didn't find much feedback around this time of year.

Any tips, feedback or advice would be welcomed, even if another area may be a better option.

thanks in advance guys!

Windy season

Sat, 2015-09-12 09:26

The windy season has started and will run through till the end of February so forget the ballooning gear and pack plenty of big raiders . The mackies has quietened off a bit recently but there should be shark macks about to keep you busy plus plenty of bottom stuff so add plenty of lead ad old spark plugs and big nuts and bolts for sinkers.

Leadhead jigs

Mon, 2015-09-14 10:19

You may want to take some Leadhead jigs as the Sharkies love them. See link from another post for examples - http://fishwrecked.com/forum/leadhead-jigs-0

Also any hardbody lure around the 40-50gram weight as had some success with these as well at certain locations.
