I'm not supersticious but someone told me once that you can rename a boat as long as you display the old name somewhere on the boat even very small. Didn't think much of it until I got on a big boat once and saw a small plate engraved with the old name. we lle that's what the skipper told me and he had some pretty good luck with that boat.
