Free lures

Sun, 2007-09-16 14:26

Adam

New and renewing RFW members from 5 September will get the lure sent out automatically when RFW get the bulk supplies (still a few weeks away).

Existing RFW members can pick up a lure from the RFW office in Watermans.

Main reasons are that the lure offer is intended as an incentive for new members and lure numbers are limited.

I know that's not much use for existing country members, so we'll be flexible about that.

Hint:- people who actively support RFW and/or sign up more new members will get special consideration.

It's all "while stocks last" so "first in, best lured."

But they will not be ready for a few weeks yet.

Thanks and more still needed

Mon, 2007-09-24 11:48

A big "thank you" to all from Fishwrecked who have joined Recfishwest and for all the support from everyone.

Membership numbers are creeping up, but RFW still need lots more members to meet the government's challenge on Recfishwest's future and funding -

Quote:-  Minister for Fisheries, Jon Ford acknowledged the input of Recfishwest but added, "The government has recently set Recfishwest the challenge to dramatically increase their membership in order to secure future funding for the organisation. It is important that the recreational sector makes a direct commitment to the peak body." See  http://www.recfishwest.org.au/MediaStateRFWcallsForNewMembers.htm

It would be great if every RFW member and forum reader could talk to their friends, tell them about Recfishwest and what it does for recreational fishing, and ask them to join too.

Again thanks to everyone.

Recfishwest Membership

Thu, 2007-10-18 16:21

We signed up about 175 new members at the Mandurah Boat show.

We sit at 641 members as of today and had a meeting with the Minister who talked about the magic 1000 members - so please keep the memberships coming.

I would like to publicly thank everyone who helped out at the Mandurah Boat show - the support was overwhelming and fantastic. Nearly every presenter urged people to join.

ALL the angling media, including at the national level has gotten right behind Recfishwest in a common cause and it is fantastic and greatly appreciated.

We have come a long way, but we still have a long way to go.

I just wanted to say thanks to each and every person that has helped!

Free lure AND calendar

Tue, 2007-10-23 16:19

Family memberships get both the free lure AND the free calendar. (RRP value $31, while stocks last)

The form on the membership page hasn't been working for a while. The emails have gone astray because the address was wrong, no idea how that happened - it used to be right.

Anyway it's all been upgraded now to give a confirmation page, it has been checked and proved working OK. Con at RFW gets the emails.

Any one who has used this form and not got a reply, can you please use it again or use one of the alternatives.

You can join for just $20 or $10 for over 65/under 18, $40 for a family of 4 - by post, by phone 9246 3366, fax 9246 5955, by email , in person, or fill in a website form http://www.recfishwest.org.au/MembershipDet.htm
