Hi all, firstly are there any perch in the the Swan river? I come over from the UK regularly to see my daughter and have had the odd fish around Guildford but only caught the odd bream, was thinking of bringing over some floats, swim feeders and try UK style approach with groundbait and worms ,im sure it will work if there present. If they are in the Swan is Guildford a good area dont know much about the river so any pointers anyone can give me would be more than welcome. Also are there any other waters in the area worth a go Cheers.

Swan is salty/brackish bud
Swan is salty/brackish bud so no reddies
Couple hours drive south-east there are a few decent streams/rivers/dams that hold them, just make sure you get a SW freshwater fishing licence

UK style approach will catch
UK style approach will catch more fish than the way we fish here I would think. Especially using floats for the bream in shallow water

Hey Billyfish, I brought
Hey Billyfish,
I brought some stick floats, wagglers and feeders back last time I went back and have had a play around Guildford and in the canning. Around the bridge and Kings Meadow reserve is full of bream, you should catch heaps...don't need to fish as light as you would in the UK.
Send me PM if you want any more info.
