Hey guys just wondering any ideas on spots to fish in the capel?
i know theres redfin there and a guy at BCF in bunbury said that they are going off at the moment and that they are reacting to coloured dark lures...
i only live 20 mins drive from capel river so thats not an issue any input will help thanks

do you use float or split shot sinker???? all people have different oppinions on what works well some say keep the worms off of the bottom and some reccon on the bottom is better whats your oppinion?

try both
we manly used lures and the old red celta accounted for many a reddy
worms work well and we used unweighted mostly and one can even slow retrieve across the bottom
experiment and see whats happening

Redfin in Capel
Lived in Bunbury for many years and caught many redfin in the area. as others have said working from the town bridge is a good start. If you can get in contact with Craig Scott (local mad fisher) he lives on the river and has fished the area for many years. have found selta No 2 very successful.
If you have a little time try the dams around harvey they contain thousands of Redfin. All are about the size of Herring. Fish the area when the water is low.

im back...
as i usually do at any place i returned home from the capel river with an empty bucket........
didnt see anything either and the MOSQUITO'S WERE BAD!!!!!!!!! and the river was quite over grown i dont think anyone has fished there to much lately... probably best after the marron season when it is all full of well used pathways
on the way back home we stopped in at boyanup to try our luck for redfin/cobbler there. And again there was nothing i interested a whole lot of ferral goldfish but none took the hook so im thinking i might go down there after school one day and have a " preston river carp clearing session "
