rod advice

hi all
I have recently bought a new pfleuger salt and i am looking for a rod to match it up with
I usually fish the rocks or beaches for small sharks and rays, mulloway and tailor
does anybody have any ideas looking for something around 150 dollars in the 8-10ft range?
Don't want something with a hard action, as I want to baitcast but also want something with enough grunt to handle some big fish.
I've heard people talking about balancing rods and reels but need a bit of advice in this area.

what size salt did you
what size salt did you purchase mate?
the two rods i would suggest for this sort of budget are
the penn spinfisher 6810
or the new shimano starlo stix shorespin....
im sure all local tackle stores have them ...
