Some more inf may help with
Some more info may help with getting the answers your chasing. What size/type of reel will you be using, what braking strain line are you intending to use?
If i was you i would start of with a light/medium rod around 6ft in length rated from 3 to 6kg. that should cover most inshore options.
The site sponsors will more than likely set you up if you pop in.

ven you go to use said rod
ven you go to use said rod the elusive whiteflat head will be hard to chase.
somefing in the 7 to 8 ft 3-5 kilo/grams would be sufficient .

Have a look at the new Crony rods
They have some good value rods in their range that would suit what you are looking for.

sounds like you need two
sounds like you need two rods one for small fish and one for bigger 30 pound braids ok for sharks-pinkies but for hearing and whiting just get yourself a little flicky with a 2500 size reel
