I am looking at getting a reasonably cheep combo for shallo water snapper and some jigging, i was looking at the shimano spheros 5000 and the shimano revolution offshore 20-30lb. I was wondering if anyone has owned either and could tell me if the they were any good, or tell me if there is a better deal out there.

Ive got one of the revolution 55-100g rods with a 5000 sustain and 20lb sunline, great light little combo for plastics/jigs. Also doubles up as a light reef stickbaiting/casting setup for tuna, trout etc.

Ns black hole
Explorer jig rod cannot beat it for the price i think bcf are doing them for 150 great strong nice looking rods reel go any shimano around the 5000 size stradic sustain saragosa they all work
If you were only going to jig a small amount a shimano thunnus 6000 are a great reel for snapper im the shallows
Good luck
wont catch em sitting at home!
