Looking at the ladder we have 2 teams outside of the 8 by 1 game and another 4 teams outside by 2 games but the percentage of Gold Coast, Hawks and Freo basically puts them 3 games out unless they can start winning all their games by 10+ goals from here on in. I have 11 who have a realistic shot at making the 8 and have West Coast finishing around 6th or 7th from here. Huge game for my boys on Sunday with a swag of players coming back into contention for selection.
Of most interest is the Bulldogs and you have to go all the way to 1999 for the last time a team in Adelaide didn't make the finals the year after winning a flag and it doesn't get any easier for them play Radelaide at home on Friday night.
Interesting to read in the news that the GOAT Tyrone Vickery has been arrested for (alleged) extortion. Word on the street is that Jake King (allegedly) kidnapped Clarko's prized budgie and threatened to bore it to death talking about how many push ups he can do if he didn't give the big fella a run in the seniors.

The thing that still burns me is West Coast being robbed of two home finals due to the VFL's deal with the MCG at the time:
1996 we finished 4th, won our first final and then had to play 6th place Essendon at the MCG.
1999 we finished 5th, won our first final and had to play 6th place Carlton at the MCG.

Its funny how its never bought up that Hawthorns tactics in that game resulted in the forced behind rule coming about, thankfully it wasn't one of those 'interstate' clubs that did it or we wouldn't hear the end of it. A few of my mates are Geelong supporters and I don't hear the end of it regarding that game. I guess I'm sort of a Geelong fan as they gave us 2 of our 3 flags!

Lets just say, i no longer need to ask for a leave pass to go fishing and there wont be a list of jobs waiting for me that prevents me from watching footy.
Other than freo being beaten by north melbourne at etihad, i really dont know or care who else is playing.
Blakely comes back in after some decisive leadership action. Good to see the players being made accountable.
Another debutant hopefully and darcy to go it alone in the ruck. And he is pretty useful kicking to which makes a change for freo big men, and little men as well actually.
Harley bennell back next week apparently.
Anyone heard how harley balic is travelling? I know he is back training. Is he having a run with peel?

Thanks guys. I am not that upset by it all. Hardest part is hoping the kids are ok. There was one aspect completely out of my control that wasnt being addressed and she wants to blame it all on me when it was her issue. In the end i pretty much had enough of it, and when she realise she no longer had my support let alone tolerance of it, it was over.
Anyway. I feel like i have lost a few kilos already because i am only eating three meals a day and not all the crap in between. I am not drinking every night (there is a hint with what the issue is). And i am not stepping on eggshells.
