The fight for second spot is still up for grabs and the Pies have four outs but some pretty handy ins. We know it can't be because of the ground because they make them tougher in the eastern states or some shit. Looks like West Coast might roll the dice on the 19y old ruckman who is very athletic but very raw but I can't see it happening.

Thought the umpires were ordinary last night
Sydney missed out on what appeared to be a glaring holding the ball by Fremantle near the end of the game that they may have scored from, though the ledger was squared somewhat with some high tackles by Sydney players not penalised.
Hope the Eagles put in a solid 4 quarters today. A win will set up a top 4 spot with a top 2 being very handy come the finals.

Seems Ross leaving Freo is a sure thing. Not sure how he is 3 years through his 5 year rebuild and not 4, doesn't really matter anymore.
Who would be the likely replacement? Brad Scott, Suma... maybe Justin Longmuir?
Not sure why he is still regarded as a 'great coach' or 'super coach'. No flags, and I don't buy into he was a bad bounce away from one, or inaccurate kicking away from being a dual premiership coach either. Left Saint Kilda a basket case. Took the dockers to a GF, then minor premiers (out in straight sets) and from there 16, 14, 14 (from memory) and this year will likely be a 10-14 finish.
His 'brand' of footy is also horrible to watch. Only one team has kicked fewer points than the dockers this season, and that's GC. Last 3 weeks they have managed 31, 53 and 52.
