Salmon/Tailor

Have fished same spot in Mandurah for a few years now. Have enjoyed regular success with Tailor catches until Salmon presence over the past two seasons. Tailor catches down significantly in this time and am thinking Salmon may be impacting the Tailor Catch.
Anyone else experiencing similar?

IMO.
Big schools of salmon eating bait fish, not enough bait to hold the Tailor..

We have had a very good salmon season
Perhaps we may be seeing the downside of having such a good season, as there not being enough food for all these predators.

No shortage of tailor at my
No shortage of tailor at my usual LB spots. In fact I'd say I'm getting more tailor per session than most past years. Good sizes to, 45cm average. I hardly ever see salmon at my tailor spots though so I wonder if it's the salmon depleting localised bait populations & the tailor are moving to places salmon don't frequent as much?

I've found the salmon and tailor schools tend to co-exist together well down at my usual south Mandurah haunts. Tailor usually hit baits and lures early and then salmon arrive later to add some frantic action
