Sambo pups

Headed out on Tuesday in readiness for this Sundays sambofest charter with Saltwater. Check out the hordes of sambos following the hooked fish (2:50) Sometimes they'd come almost to the surface before retreating. After this spot I headed deeper (see photo) and got totally smashed twice by some hefty ones. Not liking the idea of these poor sambos with 200g worth of bling hanging from them I popped in to the tackle shop on the way home and had the pe3(40lb) boat braid replaced with pe4(70lb) Ocea braid... Might be able to slow down the angry ones :) Bring on Sunday.

Enjoy

Jaws.

I think the gopro accessory is called jaws. I clamp it on to the rear rail of the boat. I need something longer though because the camera still bloops above the surface with the boats motion.

This unit is gen 2... It's just how bottom lock is displayed. How is yours different? Sent my SD card off to navionics last week. $180 to upgrade to Navionics + (includes the sonar charts) Can't wait to get that back... Heaps more contour detail

Gilly

I had a Gen1 and get the same pic as Rosie, it doesnt look like you are on pallet 13. Some of the different pallets give you a slightly diffrent bottom lock line. I use the same as Rosie.

cheers

Cheers for the screen shot gilly. I had a fiddle with the sounder yesterday and bottom lock always shows with that depth line... I did have to update the software about a year ago so that my HDS sounder could "talk" to the HDS plotter. Maybe that has something to do with it?

8 minutes of craziness out on Saltwater Charters - Full Moon Party. Footage taken by myself and Sam (poser).

Not only am I addicted to fishing it seems im now obsessed with putting vids together.

Wouldnt mind a flash camera like Josh has. The clarity in his photos is awesome.... Id be block mounting fish photos n hanging them all around the house!
