Sambos

Hey all, we have been  members for a few months now but have not joined in chat because of work commitments and more so work location (600K inland from Gero). I must say though, what an amazing site and a fantastic bunch of members. I have learnt more from this site than from any other form of WA fishing media. I enjoy reading every single post, no matter if it relates to jigging soft plackys in the swan for blowfish or sailfish in XY.

Recently, (like a whole lot of mine workers) I lost my job. No reason to lament- more time to go fishing! Our first trip after comming home from the red dirt country was a trip about 10 mile NW of Mindarie to some wreck that a guy gave me the COs. Instant action after 150 days of fishing starvation! Three sambos in 30 minutes- man was I f#^%*&. You old hands will probably know the spot but for a green skin like me who gets off on catching a feed of sand whiting this was gold! We went on exploring for the rest of the day and managed a jewie, couple of black arse and a 4kg YKF on the troll on the way home. The best days fishing I have had out of my new tub ever.

Thanks to everyone that posts info and shares ideas, rigs, spots etc on this site. You guys helped a rank amature, desert rat, fishing addict to have a red letter day. I hope now that I am home I will log on more often and maybe even have something to report every so often.
