Hey guys, heading up to sandy cape next weekend. i was just wondering if anyone knew what the conditions were like there at the moment and whats going around? i will be fishing off of the beach as i dont have a boat, i do however have a 4wd.
im hoping for some tailor, herring and if the conditions are right i may even get something a bit bigger on a ballon ;).
if anyone could fill me in that would be great!

haven`t been there recently
but the northern end of the bay is usually weed free and we almost allways get a few tailor just to the north of the last campsites in the evening.

Hey Denny, trip was great,
Hey Denny,
trip was great, the facilities there are fantastic. only down side was it was quite windy! we used 2 4wds to try to stop the wind from taking our tents for a ride. it was packed out too, i got there at about 3 and got one of the last 2 available camping spots. so make sure you get there early.
as for fishing we ended up with 4 herring, 4 tailor (one at 71cm, awesome fight, better feed!), one sand whiting and a small trevally. there was a bit of weed, but not enough to stop you from getting a line in!
if you do go, i highly recomend stockmans cave (if you havent done it before). make sure you bring a torch, it gets dark very quickly!
best of luck mate!
