Saturday night fish out wide.

Went out last night from Dawsville out for a night fish in the 40-50 metre mark. Got a Harliquin, a Black ass, 61cm Dhu and a 78cm Dhu fish. My uncle lost the first fish and decided to wind up and the big dhu chased it up to smash it. I had just wound up a sized snapper on board which would have been our last fish but I decided to wait and see what my uncle had on his line. Glad I didn't dispatch the snapper because it was an easy choice once I saw what was on his line, snapper went back to fight another day. Broke his landing net handle bringing it on board. I think it looked better with me holding it for photos;) and sorry for the poor quality of the photos, iphone isn't the best for night time photos. The wings off of the big dhu were a slab of meat in themselves. Wednesday night, here I come.

It took a little while to get

It took a little while to get out there Meglodon. I think it is about 40 or so km's out and it was a slow drive back in even though the water was nice and flat last night, we took our time. We just followed our track we went out on to get back in and now I think my uncle wants a spot light wired in for night fishing in the future so that we can spot any pots in the water.
