Scarborough Fishing

 Hi Lads

I have to go up to the big smoke friday and staying at the sister-in-laws in Scarbs. Everytime i go up her husband asks if i can bring a couple rods and take him for a fish.

Anywhere close by to there to throw a few lures for tailor or herring or squid or even some whiting? Anything to keep him interested for a few hours.

I avoid Perth like the plague so have absolutely no idea about fishing there.

Any help or tips would be greatly apreciated.

Cheers Jayce

Yeah there's a fairly consistent gutter in front of Brighton drain that should hold a few tailor. Head up to trigg and fish the reef though for a noob it might be a bit snaggy. But as Callum says there will be a heap of structure inbetween Brighton and trigg. Use the ocean cameras on swell net to scout out the beaches beforehand

Callum's on the money, take the light gear down in the morning when the easterlies are blowing. Plenty of herring and whiting with a chance of tailor, soapies, and small sharks/rays as the sea breeze sets in

Float, swivel, 1m trace and a longshank with squid, whitebait, prawn or lumo tube, medium pace retrieve will locate them anywhere they are lingering. amazing how often they wont go a still bait as opposed to moving. Try a few K's either side of freo harbour, should conjure enough.
