Screamer Lake Trout and The Suicide Hill

I've posted up the adventure of lake trout fishing and getting a truck unstuck out of snow on my blog. You can read about it at the link below.

It better be freezing...we're standing on water!

It's not so bad when you're bundled up. It wasn't windy and the sun really warms you up.

The smaller ones are pretty good. Not as good as rainbow trout, but still very good for the table.

The larger ones tend to be a little more "greasy". They eat a lot of smelt and herring and the bigger the fish, the more fishy and oily they become but the meat starts to get more fibrous with age.

I worked putting docks, boat carriages and tracks all around lake simcoe from April to July last year. How did you go in the storm last week?

My friend Michael was driving...without his 4x4, it would have been a messier drive.

Walking out was interesting...knee high in snow. It wasn't easy, but it was good there were some pay offs.
