Hey Adam, has the search function been removed ?
It has dissapeared from the left hand side of my screen.

There used to be a search button on the left, where you could type in your key words and it would search the forum topics .

the search has been replaced
the search has been replaced with a customised google search. Its the equivalent of searching google for "whatever" +site:fishwrecked.com

google search
Yeh its a google search of the site, not as efficient as the old one, but it appears to have reduced some of the pressure on the site which was causing crashes. Hard to explain, but when several people put in queries in the search function it then has to look through a 20 gig database to find info, plus whatever anyone else may be doing on the site. The amount of memory it chews is pretty intense and I have some pretty serious server hardware in the states that was getting bogged down and crashing as a result - since the change to google search there hasn't been an issue and has been one less headache for me.
