I agree with head protection,
I agree with head protection, especially after seeing an interview with Greg "Diesel" Williams with CTE (Chronic Traumatic Ecephalopathy).
BUT this rule is bloody stupid. I believe if the initial contact is legal, then whatever happens after that is incidental as part of the choas theory. Who knows where the body will go after a contact. So if you Hip and shoulder someone fairly to begin, but the situation ends up with some head contact then it should never go to a charge.
Otherwise it could potentially end up like the One Punch Rule, where if you hit someone, they fall and cause a deadly head injury you are culpable.
So potentially going for a mark, knocking over a player in the process, who falls and knocks himself senseless on the turf could be considered just a further projection of the totally dumb rule. The intention matters - so if fair initial contact the intention is NOT to contact the head. It just happens because of physics etc.
