sending a rod with transport

I wanted to send a rod 6’ long in a tube interstate,how and who does one use for transport as I don’t want to open an acct with anyone just for one item..any suggestions

You can try agents of Australian Air Express, Fastway Courriers and even DHL does interstate but DHL is probably the most expensive. I'm not sure about where you're at but in Sydney we have allot of MBE stores which provide various courrier options in the one shop so you can check out the prices at the same time.

Have you been to the post office. Its certainly not to heavy for parcel post but may fall outside their size limit. If not that is the easiest way to send a parcel.

i sent once 1.8m rod tube by courier please . but if the area is close by do that way let,s say the next state from where you are eg . bris to syd . and it cost me 30buck .
