Shark Broome Jetty

Caught this shark, I think its a Lemon Shark.

I was to busy holding on to get a tape measure out :P but estimating between 2 and 2.5mtrs

Caught it on a GT head I threw over when I got bored when the fish went off the bite.

I was using a 9" EuPro Cyclone that I usually use for flicking lures and a saragosa with 50lb braid.. I gotta say that the EuPro is one tough rod.

Thanks to Sherbs for telling me to get one!!

Nice shark mate, particularly on that gear.

Must have been fun

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:

n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or

n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

At the end of the fight he was just floating below me.  Eupro was bent almost over onto itself.

A bloke I met down there came running down the jetty with a rope gaff, looked over the side and just said "nah, no way"

I didnt want to harm him though, what would I do with him? Fish and Chips for the whole jetty? Definitely wouldnt fit in the little hyundai I borrowed up there.

Let the missus get a bunch of photo's and just cut the line, he just sank out of sight no fight left in him...or me for that matter!!

Hopefully he caught his breath and swam off.
