hey guys
just wanted to know if there are any good spots around perth for some land based shark action? was wondering whether it is just a case of berleying up and getting lucky or if there are actual 'good spots' that sharks tend to hang around? Have never really tried going for sharks before so any tips on rigs/bait/locations would be greatly appreciated :)

As for rigs etc, depends how big a shark you wanna target. the little 30kg bronzies you get on anything from mulies up. wanna go bigger you gotta decide how u plan on getting big baits out, sliding, cayaking or balooning, then rigs go from there.
One piece of advice, heavy leader and plenty of it. 1-3 metres steel trace then a good few metres of 100+lb mono as an absolute minimum depending on methods and size of sharks targetted. One of my biggest regrets in fishing has been not using enough heavy mono leader above a slide sinker.
