ShockWave S5 Suspension Seats
Been thinking for a while now to install some suspension seats on the Boston Whaler for those extended trips out deep or ploughing to Rotto in rough weather. After a lot of research, I've settled on these as being my preferred option in terms of performance and price. Has anyone else already been down this route and have any feedback. Reviews online in the US appear to be very favourable and positive on the durability and technology they utilise ... There is a business in Fremantle that has the dealer rights to bring the product in as I understand it.

Looks good, looks like it
Looks good, looks like it will take up about 180mm more height than a conventional seat swivel bracket. Does this mean you need to modify the frames or boxes to accommodate it at the same seat height?

I'm in touch with the dealer/installer at present. Will let you know the outcome. My loose understanding is that they can overcome this, but will let you know specifics when I find out.

Suspension seats
Over the years there have been a few discussions on here about suspension seats. Unfortunately the search function isn't working however if you google ''fishwrecked suspension seats'' you will see the posts and these may be of assistance.

Thanks Vinesh. I understand
Thanks Vinesh. I understand they are a step up from the Kab Seats. Haven't seen the vent right ones though. There is someone in Freo with the S5 Seats installed already, so my intention will be to take for a test run in rough weather before purchasing. Cheers

Very interested in these as
Very interested in these as my back is f**ked. I have a box that they would need to be mounted on and would probably go new seats as well.
Any indication of price?

Received an indicative quote
Received an indicative quote last night. Two seats fully installed was circa $3,200 AUD. Breakdown was around $2,300 for the seats and the rest being labour to install (with some slight mods required for mine), the airpump and then freight. Hope this helps.
Could imagine it would be easy to self install, probably saving $400-$500 bucks give or take.

$1150 each for the supply is pretty reasonable for Australia... They are US$900 each in the USA.

My mate has installed old pajero seats in his jackman. They were fantastic. I had to stand every now and then to see how rough the ride was for the passengers. They were getying smashed!

getting the bottom line final answer from a bunch of blokes that use false names and put smiley faces at the end of paragraphs is not the best place in the world to get the information you seek.
