Wondering if anybody tried side immaging on one hummingbird....
Im on the market for a new fish finder and that SI option is interesting, any help would be apreciated.

I've got the 998si and don't use the side imaging at all.unless you are in an impoundment not warranted .
bought it for Exmouth flats but can sight cast to moving fish better.

I have 898c Si in my dingy
I have 898c Si in my dingy thought it would be good for finding structure when Barra fishing. It does help but also has its limitations, for it to work as well as you see in the advertising you probably need 2 transducers as the outboard leg shadows one side a fair bit. Picking fish out is not as easy as conventional sounders.

sounds like something not really helpuful unless fishing fresh wather and shelterded area.....all stuff that dosent exist down south...
