Smiths beach,canal rocks report??

Hi guys,Just wondering anyone fished the area over the long weekend and had any luck??

 Was going to have a spearfish at canals on saturday, swell was pumping and just not safe to jump in so just had a look around instead. Saw a few dhuey carcases in the rocks on the oceanside. Not sure if caught landbased or if from boats putting in at the ramp.

 Was down there recently

 Was down there recently agree with the swell comments it was quite rough. Still managed a feed of herring

in more sheltered parts off the rocks
