Snapper Fishing Cockburn Sound

Hi all,
I would like to give snapper fishing in Cockburn Sound a go and would just like to know where to start. I have a 4.5m Stacer, do I look for certain depths or holes or is sounding around to find fish the way to go. Any info will be appreciated.
Cheers.

heh most people are pretty tight lipped. ive seen local and seasonal schools and just when i thought id had the code cracked ive come home empty handed. The weather places a big role in it. The gravel patches are some where to start then you could search for soft corals on the edges. The rock walls can fire up but only when the time is right

Hank have you used the search function mate? This question is asked a few times every year (that I've been here anyway) so there's a load of info around. Added to that is all the other info passed on through reports etc that won't come up in a post like this...
