sounder problem

Gday all
Just wanting any advise on my sounder i have a lowrance lcx15ci ,I dont seem to be getting as good a bottom reading as i used to.if i had the sounder on out of the water i could hear the transducer ticking away but now is very faint,just wondering if i have a power issue or just need a new unit .cheers for any help

You may have stuffed the
You may have stuffed the transducer by running it out of the water. I have been told that your not ment to do this, dunno if its true but.

is the transducer still in the same spot and not kicked up?

Gday Yeh transducer is still

Yeh transducer is still in the same spot and never had it on more than a couple minutes out of the water.I will have a look at the sensitivity.Seems like it went bad since i had the new motor installed.Have even relocated the cable to see if that was the problem.
