You will see a lot of big 11"

You will see a lot of big 11" McArthy Baits in dhufish in people's pics, the pink and the glow one. A few of the guys in the SW like McArthy Baits in red mullet, baby elf, say 8", has plenty of fans up here too.

The McArthy Bull Head Minnow

Wed, 2011-07-27 18:45

The McArthy Bull Head Minnow in the Pearl looks just like a live Whiting in the water. 8 inch. No messy problems like you can get with some other brands, although the 7" Berkley Gulp Jerk Shad in the Nuclear Chicken has worked well for me in the past.

Might be a 11" red mullet

Wed, 2011-07-27 18:47

Might be a 11" red mullet being made soon. Just have to convince Rob it will be worth his time. Plastics version of a sergent baker.

Mike I love the McArthy 7" in the red mullet, pearl, pink pearl and hot orange. Don't mind the 8" Z-Mans as well in the pink, white or nuc chicken.

Want to try a few snap backs next trip they seem to work well for Daz.

Don't stress

too much about colour. The biggest factors seem to be jighead size, drift speed and most importantly location. If your catching fish in that area on bait you WILL catch them on SP's and jigs. Put the right thing in the right place and you'll have success mate.

Hi Brendon (Seaquest & Matt Doaks Uncle?/Cousin? Ha Ha!)

Sourced some of the McArthy's after asking you about them and wow don't they look the ducks nuts! Hoping to give them a go next outing and I managed to score some McArthy jig heads as well.

Didn't make it down the last time you lot had a drink but glad Dan1 did, Happy to make the effort next time.

Small world mate, Matt is my cousin.

You'll love the McArthys, I been killing the pig with them.

We will have to arrange drinks again, it was a good afternoon. Always great to meet other keen FW fishos.

Doaks put me onto the red

Wed, 2011-07-27 21:01

Doaks put me onto the red mullet & got to say it's a great dhuie sergeant baker dhu candy, have to watch him though he is also fond of dropping down a blind mullet on his outings. I found in Perth that the Olive Pearl paddletail worked a treat as well as Baby Elf & would love to see these in larger sizes, down here bigger the better with hot pink & orange working well.

Will give those Zman's a crack but I am pretty happy to slowly work through the pile of McArthy's at the moment, I like the jig heads even though they are a bit exy.

About time for another round of drinks soon, keen to keep it in Busso central to all??
