Where to catch a bweam?

Hey guys, Im currently on my 1st day of a 4 day break and hanging out for a fish. Realy want to try something different and cant realy hit the coast for a bash as a huge front is coming in within the next 12hrs.

I want to try my luck on some bream, Ive got the setup, rod and reel wise, just unsure what lures/colours and where to start. Im in Bertram so 20mins down the freeway is the Serpy River. Im limited to 2WD and lanbased only.

Anyone have any tips on lures and what area of the Serpy or should i just go down there and give it a go blind?

Cheers guys

Beau

never fished the serpy, but there is a little mention of it in the latest western angler e-mag. Notes that the serpentine has  larger then average size specimens so good luck.
