spaniards off rotto yesterday!!!

hi all, just a quick one for anyone interested i went out with my mate Joffa in his 560c barcrusher yesterday and we went to target spaniards on the south side of rotto as  there is a heap of bait on the south side , we trolled deep divers (red head xrap 20 was the standout!!)anyway we bagged out with 4 macks of 10/12kg in the first hour!1 we also got a couple of striped tuna which give a good account of themselves and were released!.all fish were caught on baitschools which were quite deep and along the 30/36m zone about a mile and a half off the south side of the island. they are definately on out there and with that much bait (tonnes) they should hang around a bit longer for sure so if you get the opportunity in the next few days, get into em!!  cheers   (sorry guys no pics left the blackberry at home!!!)

what boat were you on?? you must off seen us in the barcrusherc/c there was a 6.5-7m ali(dark blue) and a leisurecat 7m? and a smaller cabin boat like a haines traveller near us , we were trolling a spread of 4 lures and 2 teasers so that may have made the difference .  cheers

Was out trolling on Fri and a fair bit of bait around south of rotto but couldn't get anything to bite any of the lures. Had a redhead xrap out too :p luckily lures aren't the only way to catch them ;)

well done, heaps out there atm, spewing i have no transducer making it hard to find the bait. Stand out lures have been the new baitfish halco 190 dd, xrap 15s in yellow scad and pilchard colour and xrap 20 in squid colour, also the chrome redhead halco 190dd took a few hits, i dont think colour matters to much, they seem to be on the bite.
