Spa's and Turbo's

Thought I would check within the community for some expertise.

Turbo Heat Shield

I completed some maintenance on the Trophy turbo over the weekend and had to remove the heat shielding which is now basically r/s.  A new replacement from the states is $400+ (and I'm too scared to find out what it would be here!).  It is a fabric type with filler and was wrapped around a few pipes, about 300x400mm sheet, with a few spring retainers.  Has anyone had experience with sourcing the right material and where to get it?

Spa

I've had a water leak in our spa for awhile.  It is an in ground fibreglass 8 seater and was installed in 1999.  I was on a mission and finally lifted her out on Saturday evening (yeah, I'm hurting now).
Upon checking for leaks in the multitude of plastic piping a few small connections snapped of (very brittle plastic).  So, I think the best option would be to replace all the fittings/pipework and get the old girl back to new and get another 10+ years of good use from her.  So, anyone out there with contacts within the industry?

Many thanks in advance.

Cheers Pete

for Spa, go to Spa World in Joondalup, he is a keen fisherman and mate of mine.

For Turbo, go to any hot water industrial piping supplier. You a bloody drafty you should know what heat sheild lagging is mate...  otherwise try the crowd off Great Eastern Highway just past the Redclif Tavern/domestic airport.

But straight pipe lagging unlikely to be rated

For the extremes of turbo (850C) - bit like the kevlar heat resistant gloves that melted onto the race driver over the weekend !   I am not in the game but most pipe lagging would not experience temperatures even close to 250C (super heated steam)

give an engine dealer a call, detroit in bassendean or cummins at the airport, wartsilla also in bassendean, theyll either be able to supply you or put you onto their supplier, they usually use the wrap on shielding that you lock wire in place.

should be anywhere near $400
