Speargun suppliers in Perth

Can anyone recommend a shop in the city or NOR who has a decent stock of guns at competitive prices. I see hookahdive is no longer in operation so not really sure where to go. I would like to avoid buying online as I want to see the gun in the flesh.
if anyone has a recommendation for a decent gun it would be appreciated, I'm after:
110cm
carbon
single band over 16mm
main use is for reef species in no more than 15m, I'm no pro, so looking to spend around the $300 mark for a fully set up gun.
cheers/Ben

I think you might struggle
I think you might struggle to find a new carbon gun for $300, should be able to pick up an ok ali gun for 300 but. NOR i can only vouch for powerdive who can get pretty much any gun in for you.

That budget is not going to get you a carbon gun.

Powerdive would be your best
Powerdive would be your best bet in perth anywhere but your budget won't get you much!

Ok thanks, I'm a real amature
Ok thanks, I'm a real amature at this so would you recommend I spend extra and go for carbon or would an Ali gun do the job?
I've been sniffing around on the Adreno site and they have the following deals. I'm happy to spend up to $400
RA Scorpia with 16mm band and 6.6mm spear 110cm -$289
Mares phantom carbon 110cm - $349
Beuchat marlin elite aluminum 105cm with 18.5mm band and 6.6mm spear - $369
Picasso Aussie basik 110cm with 19mm band, muzzle bungee, 7mm spear -$369
i appreciate the feedback- I'll give the guys a power dive a call in the morning.
cheers/Ben

Just stick with an ally gun
Just stick with an ally gun while your starting off. Much more resistant to the knocks and bumps.
I've got a Pelaj Nemesis and a Freedivers Evolution in 1.1 and find them both fine to use.

Mongrel guns
Mongrel spearguns are a good carbon gun at a good price and the barrels are the thickest on the market

I am also looking for an alli
I am also looking for an alli gun, unfortunately my budget is quite sad at 150-200. ideally a dual band, 1m+ gun for demersals and occasional pelagics ( ill get a reel for the serious stuff). at the moment im looking at a mirage 1.4m railgun from a big-blue tackle store.(I would rather shop at a site sponsor)
Fishing and catching are two different things. But i want to learn how to catch.

TBH if your starting out I
TBH if your starting out I wouldn't recommend using a reel to shoot 'serious stuff', if you do run a reel make sure you also have a float line aswell. Also if your looking at spending 150-200 I would be looking second hand.

Thanks for all the input
Thanks for all the input guys. I ended up purchasing a Rob Allen 1100 Sparid this morning from the guys at oceandive as they matched the best online price. I really wanted it for the weekend, so this worked out for me.
It has a single 16mm band, so i'll see how that goes first, if need be I'll put a second band on when/if the need arises.

I must be the only bloke
I must be the only bloke that has problems with them. Had a 1200 Caranx that was a terrible gun. Couldn't hit a thing with it.

Believe me I thought hard
Believe me I thought hard about that and was nearly convinced it was me. Gave a couple of other RA fanboys a trial and they had the same results. Since ten I've borrowed a couple and never had an issue.
They are certainly different to the timber guns I have been using the last 20 years though.

1.4m
I got a 1.4 freedivers carbon for $350, you might be able to get smaller for cheaper. Then again, I don't really like its accuracy compared to my peashooters (picasso and RA)

picasso
I won a Picasso in a spearfishing comp years ago , (back in the day when dampier dive club was called dampier spearfishing club )it was an ok gun but still preferred my timber guns , my uncle jim clay used to hand make our timber guns unfortunately he passed away 10 years ago and I don't think any one custom makes timber guns any more

Petermac,
This fellow will do custom timber guns..occasionally.

Ive seen a couple first hand, really nice. I have two timber guns, one carbon and one ally. I use my timber guns most (like the solid feel with no recoil) but am getting more time in with the carbon gun now because its set up with a floatline which I should be using more.

Pretty hard to go past Ace
Pretty hard to go past Ace Spearguns if you want a work of art made in Australia.
The facebook page has more recent builds than the website. Would be a crime to actually get one wet though IMO. Walli Galli has a few of them and lives up your way Petermac.
But if you're starting out a simple Ali railgun like an RA is the go, pretty much indestructible.
